Title: Do any of you peeps know anything about this project?
Post by: mysticjim on December 17, 2012, 09:51:59 pm
Hi there

This is specifically aimed at those who work together on the video productions at The Great Escape, were you aware of this Bristol based film project;

Its a Zombie feature film, it premièred at the Cube in Bristol last month, and they've just done a couple of other screenings this month.  They raised the money for it via crowd-funding at Indiegogo,

I've seen the trailer, the production values look pretty good, some of the Zombies look great, am quite keen to see it.

So, do you know any of the people involved in the project?  And will you giving their approach a crack for the next project - could The Great Escape do a crowd-funded feature film?

Yeah, I've known about this. It's a short film, I believe, and I was going to go to a screening that sadly had to be postponed. Hopefully I'll get to see it in the new year.

Naomi March, one of the Zombie Vampires who attacked the Ramblers at the end of episode 4 was also a zombie extra in Blaise.

As for crowdfunding... watch this space! ;)

Had a feeling that there would be a connection somewhere.  Yes, I see now Blaise is a short, looking at the projects history its come down from originally a 30min to a 15min short.  Would be very interested to see it, give me a heads up when its showing next - I'll keep an eye on their facebook page, shame they don't have a dedicated website for it.

Whilst talking about crowd-funding, but very interested to see the Kickstarter page for the Fitzroy, thats an interesting concept, don't know if the idea would support a feature length project though?  I liked the mini-short they did, Choke-Mate, but whether it will flesh out to long form I'm not sure, but fair play for raising that amount of money, I hope they make their target.

I'm intrigued now, could a Great Escape super production be on the cards?
